AICE Media Project

Project Selection- Decision I have decided to do the magazine project because i already have a style of magazine in mind. The style of magazine i like the most are car magazines and i believe i have some ideas for some articles i could write. I can use my access to S and S Motorsports of Sarasota. There are also some project cars i know about that could be perfect for pictures. I believe that a good magazine about project car and classic cars would be perfect and writing the articles would come natural to me. I am subscribed to some magazines that would be good examples to look at as well. all in all i am excited to get started looking into example material!

Project Selection- Film The aspects of film making that would interest me would be the editing and flow of scenes as well as writing catchy lines. I love the older action movies and westerns and the catchy one liners. Those were the lines and scenes from movies that never leave an audiences mind and keeps them talking about a movie for a long time. The other aspects of film making i like are comedies. Not the new style dumb comedies. I like the old original comedies like airplane and blazing saddles. I believe this could also pose as a challenge because the openings for those movies are very long and a inspired project could have trouble with the time limit. An advantage for the film project that i might have over someone else is access to props that other people wouldn't  have access to. Like classic cars and super cars, planes, and animals like an abundance of dogs. I also have access to filming locations that would be a inaccessible to some people. Such as an airstrip, a mechan...

Project selection- Magazine Magazines are probably the second most underrated form of media, right after news papers because the only thing getting read in a news paper are the crosswords. Based on my experience i believe that print journalism is interesting because it is most up for interpretation. With television news and journalism there is a distinct voice, whereas with print journalism you are reading it. The skills i have are limited I read a lot of magazines so most of my skills come from reading. Other magazines. My challenge will be that I am not A very good photographer, I take a long time to write, and finding an article to write in the genre that i like the most. I like car magazines and i believe that my access to classic cars would be advantageous to writing a classic car magazine. The only problem with the cars is the location they are in doesn't have very good lighting.
